I'm Malinda Obeysekara — a Melbourne-based Web Developer, Software Engineer and GIS specialist. I build enterprise web applications and spatial systems by day, and shoot landscapes and travel photography whenever the light's right.
I'm a Web Developer and Software Engineer currently building GIS web applications and spatial solutions at InsightGIS. My work spans frontend and backend development, REST APIs, SQL databases, and enterprise systems — with a particular focus on geospatial platforms and Spectrum Spatial consultancy.
Before that, I worked across banking, eCommerce and freelance projects — building on WordPress, Drupal, Magento and custom PHP/Angular stacks, and managing the infrastructure that keeps it all running.
Outside of work, photography and cricket keep me sharp — one for patience and composition, the other for discipline under pressure.
Enterprise web applications, APIs and full-stack systems built on Angular, TypeScript and Python.
Spectrum Spatial consultancy, spatial data management and location-intelligence platforms.
Windows Server, IIS, AWS, SSO and day-to-day sysadmin work that keeps systems online.
Landscape, travel and portrait work — same eye for detail I bring into a codebase.
Grouped the way I actually use them — from day-to-day development through to the GIS and infrastructure work that InsightGIS relies on me for.
Landscape, travel and portrait shots — the same instinct for framing and detail that shows up in how I build software.
